Oil-soluble β-carotene (natural coloring agent / vitamin A precursor / antioxidant effect)

Naturally derived oil-soluble β-carotene. It has antioxidant properties and nutritional enhancement effects as a precursor to vitamin A, providing a stable orange-red color in oily foods, capsules, and cosmetics.

This product, "oil-soluble β-carotene," is an oil suspension made from natural β-carotene. The 30% β-carotene oil suspension is a reddish-brown viscous liquid, while the 98% pure β-carotene is a reddish-brown crystalline powder. β-carotene easily dissolves in organic solvents (dichloromethane, chloroform, carbon disulfide), is slightly soluble in ether, petroleum ether, cyclohexane, and vegetable oils, and does not dissolve in water or propylene glycol. It is unstable to light, heat, and oxygen, but its stability increases under weak alkaline conditions. β-carotene is a precursor to vitamin A, has antioxidant properties, removes active oxygen in the body, enhances immunity, and contributes to vision and health maintenance. It also has excellent functionality as a food coloring agent, suitable for orange coloring and nutritional enhancement. It can be widely used in food, pharmaceuticals, and health supplements. It is particularly ideal for oily products and protein-containing products, and is applied for coloring and nutritional enhancement in margarine, capsules, processed fish products, plant-based foods, instant noodles, and more. Furthermore, it is also widely utilized in the feed industry and cosmetics industry.
